Wawasee Athletic Ticket Policy

Much like everyone else during these crazy and trying times, the Wawasee Athletic Department is making adjustments to how we do business…this includes the distribution and selling of athletic contest tickets.

At this time, Wawasee will not be selling any type of passes.  All spectators entering our various facilities will require a ticket.  Additionally, there will be a limited number of tickets available for each contest.  Based on guidelines that have been set by the Governor and the IHSAA, we will be utilizing the following numbers as capacity for our home events:

  • Varsity Football – 750
  • Junior Varsity Football – 250
  • Freshmen Football – 250
  • Boys’ Soccer – 250
  • Girls’ Soccer – 250
  • Unified Flag Football – 250
  • Tennis – 250
  • Volleyball – 500

Families of student athletes on a given team will have the opportunity to purchase up to three (3) tickets per home contest.  For Varsity Football, this offer will be extended to the Band and Cheer families as well.  Wawasee students will be given the opportunity to purchase tickets for Varsity Football during the week leading up to the contest.  Varsity Football opponents will be provided 250 to sell as they see fit.  They will be asked to return any unsold tickets the Wednesday prior to the contest

After this “pre-sales” have been completed, the number of tickets sold will be subtracted from the maximum capacity for a given event.  This number will represent the number of tickets for sale at the gate on day of each contest.  The tickets available on game day for a given contest will vary based upon the number of tickets sold to families of the participants and students.

Gates at all contests will open 30 minutes before the scheduled start time; for Varsity Football, the gates will open 60 minutes prior to the schedule kick-off time.

It will be an expectation that everyone attending our home contests wears a face covering when physical distances cannot be maintained.

As always, the guidance, suggestions, and regulations for how society operates is ever changing.  As new information comes out, this plan may need to be changed or adjusted.  Any changes will be communicated to the best of our ability.
